Bull Shark Facts

Did you know…Bull Sharks get their name from their short, blunt snout, as well as their aggressive nature and their tendency to head-butt their prey before attacking. They are medium-sized sharks with thick, stocky bodies and long pectoral fins. They have a silvery to dark grey upperside,with a white underside.

They feed mainly on bony and cartilaginous fish, but also on crustaceans, sea turtles and birds.

The Bull Shark is most famous for its remarkable ability to survive in both saltwater and freshwater. They are common worldwide and are mainly found in warm, shallow waters along coasts and rivers. Luck for us, the Great White is only found in the ocean!
