How ethical is Proper?

What does Proper do?

Proper was launched in 2011 with a range of popcorn and now sells ‘better-for-you’ chips. Proper chips are Vegan and gluten free lentil chips in flavours such as Barbecue, sea salt, sweet sriracha chilli and sour cream & chive. Proper was acquired by the private enquiry firm Exponent in 2021.

In what areas does Proper perform well? 

Proper excels in a variety of commercial fields. All Proper’s goods also have the Vegan Society mark.  There are no records of political donations that are unethical, and Exponent, the parent business of the brand, formerly held the aerospace and military firm Pattonair until selling it in 2017. Proper is a small business with excellent sustainability information, and therefore obtains the highest grade. Proper has a sustainability page detailing the objective to become carbon neutral by 2023.
